We are excited to share Scholarship America’s 2024 Impact Report — a reflection of the meaningful progress our organization has made in conjunction with our sponsors, donors and partners to eliminate barriers between students and their educational goals.
At Scholarship America, our commitment is simple and unwavering: to open doors of opportunity so students can build the futures they imagine. As we navigated a year marked by rising basic needs insecurity, shifting financial aid landscapes, and increased pressure on students balancing school, work, and family, one truth remained clear: together we have the power to change lives.
Our supporters’ generosity, advocacy, and belief in students are central to everything we’ve achieved. In 2024, those achievements included:
- Expanded access to postsecondary opportunities through more than $315 million in scholarships, awarded to 111,000 scholarship recipients.
- Investment in student parents, first-generation students, aspiring tradespeople and adults returning to school—ensuring our mission serves learners from all walks of life.
- Delivery of fast, flexible emergency aid solutions to more than a thousand students when unexpected crises threatened their education.
- Collaboration with nearly 1,000 unique program sponsors and more than 400 Dollars for Scholars chapters around the country to reduce financial barriers for students facing financial need.
As we look toward the future, the need remains urgent. As recent disruptions to SNAP benefits reminded us, millions of students are one unexpected emergency away from losing the education they’ve worked so hard for.
